My approach is supportive, respectful, and practical. I use a combination of therapeutic methods, including EMDR, DBT, hypnosis and narrative therapy. I have worked extensively with adults, adolescents, who have experienced physical, sexual and emotional trauma. I draw upon their inner-strength and resiliency to work through painful life events.
Individual, Family and Couples Therapy
Over the years I have had the honor to work with many individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings and circumstances. Individuals have experienced relief from depression, anxiety, and trauma. Couples have improved their communication and connection utilizing Emotional Focused Therapy and DBT. Families have developed peaceful and effective solutions to emotional and behavioral problems.
I enjoy working with a wide variety of people and concerns. I have a special interest in working with shame and self-esteem. I have a passion for strong couple relationships. I am committed to encouraging parents as they develop strategies for a healthy family. I look forward to working with you.
ANNOUNCEMENT! I will be starting a SHAME Curriculum group by Brene Brown starting Janary 2019. This is a 12 session group where you can learn about how shame effects your life, ways to cope, and hold others accountable instead of blaming.
